At 36 seconds per Frappuccino, a barista will produce 715 frapps in an 8hr shift. About $4000 in revenue. That same barista will earn about $120 before taxes. The discrepancy between @starbucks profits and how it’s baristas are compensated is appalling and disgusting.

The answer here is simple — there is no better way to solve the problems Starbucks workers are facing than to sit down with our union and bargain. Together, we can solve the very issues Narasimhan is identifying and make Starbucks a better company for both customers & workers!

Yesterday, a National Labor Relations Board judge found Starbucks has ILLEGALLY withheld pay increases and benefits from union stores. The decision orders Starbucks to provide affected workers with backpay, increased benefits, and more - bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
