Our STISD PD hosted a K9 training led by our newest Police Officer & K9 Handler + Instructor for future K9 handlers from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. The district & PD Dept. are proud to expand its role as a training resource for law enforcement & partner entities.

Our STISD Police Department proudly swore in its first K9 handler during the STISD Board of Directors meeting, highlighted by a special pinning ceremony. Surrounded by fellow officers & family, Officer Armando Pena was recognized as STISD’s first K9 handler & instructor.
