Another area with superb day-hike opportunities (plus multi-day ones) is Þórsmörk in southern #Iceland . This is the view of the Krossá river on the way back from the Tindfjöll circular hike, a pretty tough one in places.

As well as stunning mountain views at Stórurð, another highlight is these wonderful blue/turquoise pools. #Iceland Sept 2016.

There are some truly brilliant roads in #Iceland . Not for everyone, but definitely for me :) This one is on the east side of the Westfjords heading towards Djúpavík.

Sometimes the landscapes in #Iceland can be extremely surreal, like this foggy beach (Rauðasandur) in the Westfjords in late May 2022.

Time for more bluebells! I haven't been out to see any more this year, but these were taken on this day last year, with very lovely soft morning sunlight.
