It’s that time of year for academics ie “HELL” aka exam marking time. Below is a 🧵 with some thoughts from me as a retired old fart on what a monster this process has become and why it’s a living nightmare for academics but no one listens and it gets worse every single year.

What a glorious week in the field with Merops Field Studies in the Cévennes. Our 2nd yr biology UoN Life Sciences students got SO much out of this - Sophie & Fabrizio are incredibly knowledgable, super well equipped for sampling biodiversity and PERFECT hosts!

This is utterly delicious.

Accessibility: my understanding was that dark text on pale background best on paper but pale txt on dark b/g best for presentations. Thoughts/knowledge/studies I can look at?
