This week’s #PhotoFriday is of a stonechat, thanks to Stephen Brooks. Stonechats are often found in heathland and scrubby areas, often perched high on gorse and heather in moorland areas. Whilst not currently in decline, they are not a common sight. #songbirds #weekend #nature

It's World Migratory Bird Day. Birds face many tough challenges on their journeys: unpredictable weather, natural predators, & increasing habitat loss. We can all do our bit to help them survive the winter. Take small daily actions to provide food, water & shelter.

This week’s #PhotoFriday is one of our favourite ‘little brown jobbies’ - the lovely dunnock taken in north Devon by Stephen Brooks (Westcountry Photos) The dunnock is a shy bird, likely to fly off to find shelter if disturbed. #songbirds #weekend #naturephoto

Is your bird feeder a disease hotspot? Diseases like trichomonosis are rising. The risk increases when large numbers of birds gather around feeders. Keep garden birds safe by cleaning feeders & bird baths regularly. Download the Threats report: songbirdsos.org/TandS
