Field teams are on the ground again today checking structures and clearing trash screens etc. We are also proactively managing flows on the Parrett by using Monksleaze Clyse and the Sowy system. Environment AgencySW Gary Cutts
Allermoor Spillway stopped running early this morning, we had teams out first thing opening Monksleaze to operate the SOWY FRC at maximum capacity, this allows us to commence pumping at Langport stations until spillways start to run again. Environment AgencySW
Biggest flood of the winter so far. Spillways running at full bore. But no real harm being done at this time of year. System working as it should Somerset Catchment Partnership Phil Brewin @levellerlive

Oath Lock doors have closed diverting virtually all Parrett fluvial flows down the SOWY, this will ensure maximum capacity in the Parrett & Tone for any rainfall in the coming days. All pumping stations are at winter desired levels. Environment AgencySW
