It’s 2022 and we may see coal power plants in Southeast Asia, 🇦🇺 and 🇿🇦 being bought out to phase out decades ahead of their end of life. New coal-based steel assets will likely face the same fate in ~10 years. Either they are bought out by someone or become stranded.

Strong words but such an important message; CO2 removal is what’s left to do once all mitigation avenues have been close to maximised - otherwise it’ll be impossible to get where we need to…
