On Monday 16 December over 400 students performed in the annual Ely Cathedral Carol Concert. With a record number of students, Community Choir members, ex-students, staff, parents and local musicians, this really was a true community event celebrating the festive season in style.
The school held its annual Get Festive Day on the last day of term, with students bringing donations of hygiene products. This year the donations are going to the Isleham Community Pantry where the items will be gratefully received by local families.
Our students recently performed ‘Our House’ the Musical to sell out audiences. The auditorium was transformed into Casey Street, Camden Town and filled with the catchy tunes of the band Madness, as 50 students gave heartfelt, hilarious and energetic performances.
Work will begin next week on the 3G all weather pitch at SVC. This facility will improve access to sport for both our students and community members.
Thank you to Soham Town Rangers, Soham Town Rangers Youth & Soham United for their contributions towards this community project
Yr 7 & 8 students were treated to a visit from SVC Book Award winning author Jennifer Killick as part of our World Book Day Celebrations. She delighted students by talking about her writing process, how to get published and where she gets inspiration for her creepy characters.
