Now this is being a true . I hope other NHS trusts will follow.

This is truly important and shows real thinking and consideration of what is important. Less gimicky and much more valuable than some other Ramadan ally stuff I have seen.

Thank you Barts Health

Health is bigger than the NHS.

Up to 80% of our health is shaped by the social determinants (housing, income, environment).

Yet, the focus of this morning’s interview with SoS was services. Understandable but we must create good health as well as treat ill health.

Fantastic day at the ECFN on Tuesday. A really inspiring network who drive diversity and inclusion in all they do, represented and led by people from global majority backgrounds. 🙌🏾

Thankyou for inviting me to share my experiences and be a part of a great day to kick off BHM 🫶🏾

So… 4 weeks ago I had a cardiac arrest. It happened while playing football and my teammates straight away did cpr and used the defib. I’m fit and well and owe it all to them.

The key points about vaping (E-cigarettes) can be easily summarised.

If you smoke, vaping is much safer; if you don’t smoke, don’t vape; marketing vapes to children is utterly unacceptable.

I expand on these points in the article below.

Doctors v rarely strike, so things have to be dire for them to do so. Sad they feel they have to. Needs to be resolved well, or risk for a generation a disenchanted medical workforce.
Don't blame the doctors. We need them. Value them.

NEW: a column in the Times argues that the only way to tackle obesity is through fat shaming (yes, you read that right).

It’s an astonishing argument to make, and unsurprisingly it falls to pieces under scrutiny.

Let’s take a look, and see if we can do better:
