Israelis know their war crimes are indefensible, so the only option left for them is to try and convince the world that Palestinians are lying about their dead. It’s disgusting and should usually be ignored outright, but sometimes it’s important to see how low they will go.

For example, Ofir Gendelman was called out after he tried to pass off footage from a Lebanese short film as proof that Palestinians were faking injuries from Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. Despite getting caught lying, he kept the post up for weeks:

And it’s not just random internet trolls. Israeli government officials keep getting called out for peddling conspiracies that accuse Palestinians of faking their own deaths in order to frame Israel. They call it “pallywood.”

So while this person is obviously comically stupid, they’re part of a troubling trend. Individually they’re not important, but they fit within a broader pattern of Israeli atrocity denial/disinfo aimed at delegitimizing Palestinians in the eyes of the international community.

I’m not sure how to find the numbers or email for your campus reporting, you might need to just report through NIH, but your uni might also have their own in house animal research care committee. Do both of them.

If you are at the UCLA encampments and have evidence like photos and videos of these mice and/or are able to safely catch one without touching it. Report this to IACUC. The police or campus security might not take it seriously. But IACUC will cook these losers for violations.
