Finally got to listen to this today (whilst driving ironically). Really great to hear the Secretary of State for Transport explain that the importance of Active Travel to solving the public health and the climate emergency is understood. Fingers crossed for the future!

New tech trialled by Transport for West Midlands to improve safety by giving walkers & cyclists priority over vehicles. Installed at road crossings detecting cyclists earlier enabling traffic signals to go green sooner. Our director of external affairs Sarah McMonagle commented on the trial:
