Here's a beautiful story of an Irish postman called Mike Sheehan, who cycled up to 30 miles a day for 42 years delivering post around Goleen in West Cork. While other postmen opted for cars and motorbikes because of the steep mountainous terrain, Mike never changed. His son

It was great to see Amanda Clarke feature on last night's episode of the TG4 series Ag Triall ar an Tobar. In 2022 Amanda wrote a wonderful article about holy wells for our Journal. She also gave a lecture to the society on the topic and recorded a short video for us.

Headstone of Andrew Gallway, St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Baton Rouge, today. From , he was mortally wounded at Port Hudson in 1863. His brother Edward was the 2nd soldier (& 2nd Irishman) to die in the American Civil War, from wounds received at Fort Sumter in 1861.
