For the next ten days, the fjords of Norway will turn into a battleground between helicopters and fast boats as the Royal and Norwegian Navies begin new annual exercise. Exercise Tamber Shield aims to help both navies develop tactics for fighting in confined waters.

Thorough preparation for the tactical war fighting phase is key. The past two days have seen 815 NAS working on Ex Tamber Shield conducting area familiarisations, comms checks and search & rescue training. All this and much more ensures the exercise runs smoothly and safely.
