The Barclays WSL to grow from 12 👉 14 teams from 2026/27. Next season, there will be two automatic promotions from Barclays WSL 2, plus a play-off between the third-placed WSL 2 team and the bottom-placed WSL side. A clever way of getting through the no relegation idea.

Hi Asda, do you care to explain why you are strongly pushing for support of the Lionesses in your Cardiff stores? Not only have Wales Women's Team qualified for the tournament, they are in England's group and direct rivals! This is deeply offensive, read the room. FA WALES

Breaking! Burnley FC Women have appointed Matt Beard as the new manager of their women’s team! A top-tier appointment, and if the club backs him on the pitch, Burnley could emerge as early favourites for promotion in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier. The gauntlet has been thrown.

FAWNL clubs will be required to submit home match footage within 48 hours of the end of each match from next season. An excellent resource and opportunity to use the footage to maximise the exposure of the FA Women's National League's vast talent, either through clips or a full highlights package.

To suggest that the FAWNL is in desperate need of sponsorship is an understatement. The £3 million Premier League-backed 'Empowering For Success' strategy, which, among other objectives, aimed to increase the number of league commercial partners, concluded in May.
