I don’t know how I’m going to cope without my biweekly fix of WTF with Marc Maron. What an incredible legacy @marcmaron has built, affirming podcasts as an engaging medium, and conducting 1600+ interviews with passion and respect. He should be proud! Here’s to next steps!

On this day 12 years ago, after having received a sneaky tip-off, I was in Covent Garden, watching a surprise afternoon set from Paul McCartney that packed the piazza and filled it with pure love and joy. One of many great memories he’s made for me.

Exactly 60 years ago today, The Beatles were awarded MBEs by The Queen. “‘It was quite funny,” said John Lennon after. “But she was sweet. I think she seemed a bit mumsy to us because we were young boys and she was a bit older.”

RIP Mani. A devastating loss to music. Mani was half of one of the greatest rhythm sections of my generation - a band whose impact was so significant, so consequential, that I hope he knew just how special he was.

Sending love & energy through the universe to the spirit of the great Jimmy Cliff, who has passed on from this life. Saw him at SXSW in 2012; he was joyful, powerful, transcendent. Got this vinyl signed that year, something I’ve treasured ever since. Thanks for the music, Jimmy.
