Incredibly sad news - Lord Sacks was a man of deep faith, curiosity and intellect, and truly committed to dialogue across divides. He leaves behind so much wonderful writing - but do read his book 'The Dignity of Difference' if you get chance. #RIP

What sad news. For so many Jews of my generation, as all these tweets show in their different ways, he was a giant. Part of the furniture of British Jewish life. May his memory be a blessing.
