Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!  The Signal Hill Police Department thanks the SignalHillCA for flying the PD flag during the month of Jan.  The flag replicates the SHPD uniform patch and includes the PD motto; “Committed to Excellence in Service”.

The Signal Hill Police Department would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the LAPD Officer who was killed while off duty, as well as the members of the LAPD HQ . The young officer was shot and killed last night during an armed robbery attempt. #LAPD

In the early morning hours, SHPD officers spotted a stolen vehicle traveling through our city. During a search of the vehicle, Officers Kenney, Reyes, and Alcorn located illegal drugs and paraphernalia. The driver was #arrested and booked for narcotics charges. #NotOnOurWatch
