The Year 5 children completed their bikeability Level 1 and Level 2 this week with the instructors from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. They did a fantastic job on their bikes and had lots of fun despite the changeable weather!

The Foxes and Badgers enjoyed celebrating Spring Equinox. We stepped into spring by creating a story and art in our beautiful Forest School. The children were successful in lighting a fire using flint and steel. We are so lucky to have Forest School to enhance our learning.

A behind the scenes look at some of the incredible videos the Badgers created! They used their oracy skills and knowledge of the different key words and phrases linked to our Geography topic of “The Americas”. Well done Badgers! #SiggBadgers #SiggGeography #SiggReading

Today Siggy helped celebrate the 40th anniversary of Red Nose Day. We came to school with crazy hair and jokes to make our friends laugh. What’s a cat’s favourite colour? Purrple! So far we have raised £61.60! #siggcommunity #RedNoseDay

The Badgers had the most amazing time in London, we had the opportunity to walk around London and see Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, The London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.

We travelled by coach, train, navigated the underground and walked over 13km. We even had time to visit Platform 9 3/4! The children were exhausted by the end of the day, but what a wonderful experience they all had. We are incredibly proud of the children.
