When the Germans decide to do something, they do it in a serious and monumental way. I’m not sure that Trump has any understanding of what he has unleashed and how the balance of power will change in the world because of his actions in the last few weeks.

JP Morgan's annual energy report is always an excellent read. "after $9 trillion globally over the last decade spent on wind, solar, electric vehicles, energy storage, electrified heat and power grids, the the renewable share of final energy consumption is slowly advancing at

The problem for the US isn't just that they have a strongly pro-Putin president, it's that the Russian govt understandably seems to see the US as willing to say and do pretty much whatever the Kremlin wants. Hard to see them taking US threats of coercion seriously.

That’s it? This is what 45 years of spent nuclear fuel looks like safely stored at Dominion Energy’s North Anna nuclear power plant. Each cask generated around 5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity — enough to power nearly half a million homes each year.

Grenznutzen Null, Grenzkosten Unendlich. Grün ist die Farbe der Irren.

To recap: > In 2000 German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder began a phase-out of nuclear power in coalition with the Green Party > 2005 Gerhard leaves office and gets a position at a Russian gas company > Decline in Nuclear power capacity almost exactly matched by increase in gas

Anyone else find it curious that the "world's cheapest source of energy" dies without a steady pipeline of subsidies flowing to the industries? I'm going to go out on a limb and say someone's not telling the truth.

A whole lot of BS political views basically amount to assuming that life in our hard won civilisations is just the way things are, and that you can simply remove the foundations. Only a society protected by vaccines produces anti-vaxxers. Only a society with a strong military

She ruined Europe. On Putin, on immigration, on industrial policy, on energy policy, she got it so wrong, unbelievable that so many followed her lead.
