Year 6 made bubbles today. They learnt about what changes the stability and strength of the bubble and about expansion and flexion. They also learnt how important it is to follow instructions and be patient!

Year 7 did their own flame tests today to determine which chemical burnt with which coloured flame. They concluded sodium - yellow orange, lithium - red, potassium - purple pink , copper - green blue, barium - apple green and boric acid - bright green. @sibfordscience

Today #Year9 were challenged to put their knowledge of #distillation to the test. Students were asked to distill pure water from ink. They chose equipment to set up a simplified #still and triumphed. Well done all. Sibford School #SibfordScience #KS3 #practicalwork #Chemistry
