Naungana na wadau wa elimu kusherehekea Siku hii ya #MtotoWaAfrika. Tunakumbuka watoto wa Soweto mwaka 1976, walipopigania haki yao ya elimu bora bila ubaguzi na unyanyasaji. Leo bado tunapigania elimu bora yenye kukidhi changamoto binafsi na za jamii, kwa haki na usawa #DAC2024

Mwaka 2024 ni mwaka wa Elimu wa African Union, 70% ya watoto wa miaka kumi hawajui kusoma na kuandika. Inakisiwa zaidi ya watoto milioni 62 barani Afrika wataacha Shule kabla ya mwaka 2030. Tunaendelea kujiuliza, elimu yetu inamuandaa mtoto kukabiliana na matakwa ya karne hii?
