Shiraz SA revealed the winners of the 12th annual Shiraz SA Challenge, with six vintages from a wide variety of regions performing excellently. The awards event on Thursday 15 August 2024 brought together finalists and wine industry celebrities at Simonsvlei Wine Cellar in Paarl.

It's been 50 years since Cyril Back bottled the 1st Shiraz under the Fairview label from grapes grown exclusively on the Fairview property. These fledgling Fairview wines were sold at the Cape’s first public wine auction, initiated by Cyril and hosted at Fairview in 1974. 🧵1/6
