Meet your 2023 PAISAA Softball STATE CHAMPIONS! 🐊

With a 1-0 win over Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, Shipley's Girls' Softball team finished their season as state champions.

Congrats to Ben Brasfield ‘26 for placing 5th in the PAISAA State Championships and running a 4:26.17 in the 1600 meter. This time qualifies him for the Freshman Mile at the New Balance Nationals.

Ben is now ranked the third fastest Freshman 1600m runner in PA!

Our Upper School Chemistry I students held a Demo Fair today to show off many of the principles they've been learning about in chemistry class. The fair was full of crystals, Oobleck, dry ice, floating bubbles, colored fire, and much more.

Today, our fourth graders took a field trip to Philadelphia, offering students a unique opportunity to make real-life connections to their study of early American history. They visited Independence Hall, the Ben Franklin Museum, and the Museum of the American Revolution.

Our US Science Olympiad Team competed in the PA Southeast Region Tournament, held at Penn State Abington.

The team of Bambi Tang '23 and Richard Liu '25 placed 2nd in the Detector Building event, 3rd in the Remote Sensing event, and 3rd in the Fermi Questions event.

Shipley will host its annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, March 17 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Please consider donating - one pint of blood saves three lives!

Two groups of US students recently traveled to Washington, DC and Boston to compete in the Model UN and Model Congress conferences. Amber Feng '24 won Honorable Mention in her committee, a historical simulation based on the New Youth movement in China in the 1920s.

Ben Brasfield ‘26 will be representing Shipley at the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships running the Freshman Mile on Thursday in Boston. Ben’s mile time of 4:44 qualified him for this elite event. Good luck Ben!
