A great day with Mudlarks for beach school 😀 Viking villages, sand scientists and long boat building ... then there’s teamwork, new experiences and great memories for Reception class and Shilbottle Friendly Frogs 😀

Year 4 had a brilliant day on Thursday when they visited Jarrow Hall with its Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum. They listened to the story of Beowulf around the fire to celebrate World Book Day 😀

Today our beach school with Mudlarks took us to Hauxley beach and nature reserve where we learnt about the moon and tides, created a whale on the beach, walked over 2km, made journey sticks, discovered birds and how quiet we have to be in bird hides...

An excellent first day from coach journey to hot chocolate. All the children are settled for the night and looking forward to tomorrow.

The calm before the storm ... children are stirring, the rabbits are scattering. Time for breakfast and the start of another fun-filled, action-packed day!

Getting ready for our first adventures. Stream and Avalanche headed to Nightline to work on communication skills, while Waterfall headed to the lake for canoeing.

Avalanche group have had a fun filled day today, the children are all in bed chatting before lights out.

An exciting 12 hours of adventure for Stream Group. Learning key communication skills, building confidence, respect for each for other and encouraging each other to succeed.

Day 3 and we’re up, packed and ready for breakfast. Everyone has had a good nights sleep and looking forward to the final activities.

Shilbottle Primary netball teams enjoyed their first matches tonight at DCHS against Whittingham Primary 😀 our red team were overall winners and now play Longridge in May!

A super start to the summer term in Celebration Assembly on Thursday - only 3 days back at school and so many achievements!
