On 12/5/22, at 9:15 p.m. BCSO Deputies responded to a shooting. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the victim Jason Fort, 41 lying in the doorway of the home deceased. A preliminary investigation found that Hammock had shot the victim after a confrontation.

BCSO will host a Teen Boy Seminar on Sat, 1/21/23, at Burke County Judicial Center, 200 East 6th Street, 10 am - 1 pm. The seminar is designed for any teenage son struggling with peer pressure, feels they may be going down the wrong path, and at-risk youth. #BurkeCountyStrong
