These changes look great and v exciting for next year. Wonder if there could ever be something similar in the future that supports grassroots theatre with a look to tour Scottish stages as many Scottish productions don’t get the opportunity to tour at home nvm internationally🤔

Horrible reading that Glasgow’s CCA & Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre are at risk of closure. Circumstances are dire. Can Scottish Government work with Glasgow City Council East Lothian Council - news and information COSLA & Creative Scotland to prevent mass closures of arts organisations before it’s too late?

Playing politics over cultural venues & events is pretty much the last thing our arts industry needs right now & yet this is what is playing out while cuts & closures are being rolled out due to the prolonged underfunding of culture by local authorities & the national government.

I attended my first ever youth theatre here, saw my first ever play in here (The Wall by D.C Jackson) uttered my first ever lines as an actor here, did my first ever production in here. Learned my basic stagecraft here. This is so sad. A proper brutalist example as well.

This is heartbreaking 💔 This building was one of the fews ways for people in our community to consume theatre. It serves as the first offering of theatre for many through school trips and local initiatives. I hope art and theatre will not dwindle here due to this loss.
