Congrats to Sadiq Khan and the team - great news for London and the country - the negative campaigning didn’t work for the Tories, won’t work in the GE either.  Historic third term, London has the Mayor it deserves and wanted.  Despite the voter suppression too.

It must also be stressed that at no point in the campaign did Mayor Khan lose his dignity, or express any divisive rhetoric.

He maintained his composure in the face of so much hatred, so many death threats, so many lies.

The mark of a Consumate Leader.

BREAKING: Sadiq Khan has won a historic third term as London mayor.

All 14 of the London constituencies have now been declared.

Mr Khan has won with 43.7% of the vote. His Conservative rival Susan Hall took 32.6%.
