Great to catch up with headspace Ipswich to talk about youth mental health challenges in our region and Labor's investments in this space. This includes $1.3M for headspace Ipswich to increase staff and reduce wait times, so young people can access the care they need.

Over 900 households and small businesses in Blair have had solar batteries installed, thanks to Labor's Cheaper Home Batteries program - among the highest take-up in QLD. Great to chat to Morris from Fallon Solutions, who recently installed a battery at this home in Ipswich.

Terrific to attend the Opening Ceremony for new athletics facilities at Providence Athletics Inc in South Ripley. These were supported by the QLD Government’s Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund and include sheds, and tartan jump and sprint training facilities.

Shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Cross Border Commissioner Ian Leavers APM. Ian was a tireless advocate for police officers in his leadership roles with the Qld Police Union and Police Federation of Australia. My condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
