This re UK univs. I went to a low quality school, scraped a couple A levels, was accepted Portsmouth Poly, got a first, then PhD scholarship. Prof by age 37. Supervised 37 PhD students. In top 2% world scientists judged by life time citations. Stop this snobbery. Enable folk.

A bit of mission to get home, granted, but well worth it. #Glyndebourne was, and is, a blast! The production [a revival] of Die Zauberflöte was Mozart dialled up to 11.

Nearly half of nurses in England are planning to quit or thinking about it.

90% come into work when sick due to guilt over staffing levels.

A majority say they are burned out and many struggle to make ends meet.

Nursing is in crisis.

I still find it incredible that any experienced registered nurse often with specialist qualifications/expertise is paid a band 5 salary.

FITTING HOMES TO HUMANS

According to a report in 2023, more than 1 in 5 people in the UK were living with a disability but only 9% of British homes met basic accessibility standards.

Good ergonomic design includes well thought through room layouts to assist with mobility.

I don’t think I could stress this enough #NHS staff, including #Nurses , shouldn’t be getting assaulted at work.
