Recovering well with easy walks. Summers are pleasant in Dehradun, especially at the foothills, where I live. Soaking in the pleasant sunshine of mornings, walking slowly.
Wanna give this body rest it deserves. Patience is indeed a virtue and full recovery is a work of patience.

I am recovering. In no hurry to jump back into training. Giving due respect to this body that endured 24h of non stop running. My next goal would be to rebuild & train to run 100 km at the pace of 5min/km in the world championship due in Dec 24. Coach says it's within my reach.

Photo taken right at the end of a 24 hour race. Smiling despite the excruciating pain. Race started on a high note, gradually became slower, then painful and then unbearably painful. But I kept moving till the end. Hence the ЁЯШК. If I could endure that, I can endure anything.

Ran 190 km in Asia Oceania Championship in Australia. So much rain! Had to run in the drenched shoes. Toes shrunk due to the wet..they burnt intensely. It was my 6th 24 hour race and the toughest! I suffered the most in the last 1/4th part. But kept moving till the end of 24h.

I do all my training in the early morning and as soon as I finish, I have to rush home to make breakfast and get ready for work. No time to take photos before that. Did long intervals today,
2 km Warm Up
3 km fast & 1.5km slow, till 18 km
2 km cool down.

During my long runs, which usually last for 4-8 hours, the spectators often ask me, how did you develop so much stamina? They become curious & inspired after seeing someone running for so long without getting tired or bored. Not giving in to boredom or fatigue makes you stronger.

10 hour run in Dehradun Parade ground. It was my longest training run before the Asia Oceania Championship. Also, the longest run I ever did, in training. Completed 90 km in 10 hours.
Consumed 8 EnerJiva gels, 10 EnerJiva salt capsules, khichadi, fruits & coffee.

Sunday Super Long Run -70 km. I am training for 24 hour Asia Oceania Championship to be held in April, at Canberra, Australia. Had 6 energy gels, 6 Salt capsules, chocolates, soaked raisins, 1 bun-tikki.

Did 'Fast&Slow' workout today at parade ground Dehradun.
A guys asked : 'Kya Govt job ke liye run kar rahe ho?' Another one asked : 'Kya Nationals ki tayyari kar rahe ho?'
More remarks :'bahut der se daud rahe ho. Gazab ka stamina bana rakha hi'.

Right after a super long run like 60 km or 80km, I always feel like I m gonna rest for the next two days. The soreness is too much to handle. But its amazing that the body recovers fully in 48 hours. And I feel good enough to do another quality run.

Building up for 24h Asia Oceania Championship. Took 5 EnerJiva energy gels, 3 litres of electrolytes and a coffee, for a six hour training run. Total mileage for the week : 150k. One hill run, one interval run, lots of easy runs and one long run included.

Electrolyte mix or Salt caps? I take the former while training and the latter while racing Marathons. In ultra marathons, I take both. 250 ml electrolyte mix per 20 min. 1 salt cap per hour.
