Something that Tanya Talaga said a couple of weeks ago that hasn’t left me: when you think of Murray, think of the weight of hearing thousands of accounts of untold horror, and the toll it would take on your body. Think of taking that on. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

The Honourable Murray Sinclair always walked into dark places with a flashlight so that we can safely follow. A beam of light that cut through injustice and shows the way to hope.Sending prayers and gratitude to his loving family🧡

139 years ago, Métis icon Louis Riel was unjustly executed by Canada for treason. Today, we celebrate his legacy as a visionary leader who fought for Métis rights and way of life.

Hmmm I wonder who could possibly be behind this type of language placed at the top of the launch. More boots on the ground and “safety” language. I don’t know why the downtown elite doesn’t just say what they mean. Do you want Indigenous People downtown? #yeg Tim Cartmell

Very weird state of the city without the Mayor delivering it. I wonder when and who decided it should be given by a panel of white “city leaders…” And of course no Indigenous representation lol. Sigh. Downtown elite back at it. So far, the best speaker was Elder Morin.
