These images were taken roughly 4 minutes apart. The first image shows the mesocyclone moments before tornado genesis off of SD hwy 1804 at 7:49 pm. The second image is the first Mound City 🌪️ image captured at 7:53 pm. Things escalated quickly. 😎 NWS Aberdeen #sdwx

As I update this years tornados on the board, I find it funny that a map with limited marked communities would have the 2 SMALL towns that experienced last weeks northern plains tornado fest listed. I mean cmon, coincidence?Maybe but maybe not 😏 thanks ⁦Alex Resel 📸⁩ for pic
