Today we reached out to Girls at St.Peter’s Preparatory School-Ibanda where we not only donated reading books but also shared words of Wisdom with the Candidate class:

Furthermore, we discussed about the domestic violence act/children’s act and emphasis was put on the status of Uganda’s ratification on the national and international instruments on child marriage.

The sexual offense law will help to;
1️⃣close legal gaps in the existent legal frameworks
2️⃣create a database for sexual offenders and consolidate sexual offenses into one act
3️⃣protect victims & help prevention of future crimes.

Day 2 of the Girls First Fund grantee training was incredibly successful. We dug deep into the implication of the sexual offences bill and discussed the pivotal role GFF partners play in advocating for its passage.
