if anybody knows, let's compile a list of places where donors can donate blood around Kathmandu valley. some places might still be critical/sensitive making travel risky. but blood collection centers can be spread out all over and blood carrying vehicles be allowed to travel

Media need to represent this protest accurately and not reduce it to a ‘social media ban protest.’ This is a broader anti-corruption movement led by students, and it deserves to be reported as such. #GenZprotestNepal

Re: protests in Nepal. Restrictions on social media platforms may be part of the story, but that is not all this is, not by far. Nepali youth are tired of what they see as failures of governance, corruption, and the lack of opportunities. This is a tragedy.

#Nepal: We are shocked by the killings and injury of protesters today and urge a prompt and transparent investigation. We have received several deeply worrying allegations of unnecessary or disproportionate use of force by security forces during protests organized by youth

Today I spoke to dozens of protesters. Most of them were not GenZ. All of them were angry. But that anger was misdirected. I pulled three journalists from a van that a mob was trying to burn with them inside. "Sab patrakar jhole ho," they kept saying.

Despite international framing of the demonstrations as “social media ban protests,” the movement has explicitly rejected this framework, stressing instead that its motivations are founded on grievances over governance and corruption. - Shana Scogin penntoday.upenn.edu/news/three-thi…
