🏘️ Keetmanshoop and Oranjemund are stepping up to address housing shortages! The municipalities are reviving the Build Together low-cost housing program with the Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia. Keetmanshoop aims to build 30 new homes for low-income families in Extension 7.

Okahandja Council, NUST, SDFN/NHAG, and residents are upgrading Ekunde and Five Rand informal settlements. Next: land survey, re-blocking, and servicing. Goal: Affordable tenure security for all.

The Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia is hosting the Slum Dwellers International Southern Hub meeting. Yesterday, members from Southern Africa visited SDFN & NHAG's participatory upgrading projects. Shack Dwellers in Okahandja are now raising funds for a land surveyor.
