Lāhainā is one of many communities across the country that was struck by disaster over the last year—and like the rest of those communities, it's in urgent need of more federal funding to help its recovery

We're all in this together. Congress needs to pass more disaster aid ASAP

Today I met with Mayor Bissen to discuss the status of Lāhainā's recovery.

Maui continues to have the full backing of the federal government. We've been working as hard as we can to deliver as much aid as possible, and we won't stop until the community fully recovers.

We secured more than $5 million to protect drivers on Kamehameha Highway from the dangerous rockfalls and coastal erosion that have been affecting the road.

This funding will make the highway safer for the thousands of drivers on O‘ahu who rely on it to get around every day.

We secured more than $1 million in earmark funding to build the first ever adult day care center on Lānaʻi.

For too long, seniors on Lānaʻi have had to move off island or to the mainland to get the care they need—this funding will help fix that. mauinow.com/2024/03/27/sch…

Native ancestral remains and sacred items deserve to be in the hands of Native communities—not hoarded by museums.

I sat down with HuffPost to talk about how our work in Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is helping to return them to their rightful homes. huffpost.com/entry/brian-sc…
