Today I met with Mayor Bissen to discuss the status of Lāhainā's recovery.

Maui continues to have the full backing of the federal government. We've been working as hard as we can to deliver as much aid as possible, and we won't stop until the community fully recovers.

We secured more than $5 million to protect drivers on Kamehameha Highway from the dangerous rockfalls and coastal erosion that have been affecting the road.
 
This funding will make the highway safer for the thousands of drivers on O‘ahu who rely on it to get around every day.
