Twitter friends, we did it! My account is back! Thank you to everyone who reached out with ideas and support. It honestly does make a difference to know that in dark moments, there are people sending good thoughts.

BTW, if you run FB ads: I just got off a call with their support team. You must now turn off your ads at the Campaign, Ad Set and Individual ad level for them to actually be turned off and not charging you. Yay for clicks going to 404 pages at Amazon all week!

Essentially being accused of doing something so nefarious that it warrants shutting off your account, income, career but not telling the author why is a special kind of hell.

Day 4 - no resolution with Kindle Direct Publishing What does a person have to do to get the attention of a human over there? Are there any humans left? Also, it appears that they’re still letting KU readers read my books. That can’t be correct, right?

Day 3 - nothing from Kindle Direct Publishing about terminating my account with no warning and no further information. And consequently, no writing is being done either. Bright side: the latest Ted Lasso episode was the funniest yet! Go watch.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone keeping numbers of how many authors this is happening to at KDP? I know I have some analytical friends. :)

If anyone knows a tech reporter who wants a story, the bots have taken over Amazon's KDP account management and there is no meaningful human oversight*

* I think, this is just a theory

So when Kindle Direct Publishing closes your account, they remove your access to your tax data for previous years, too. Am I understanding that correctly?
