So excited to share that my and my co-authorsโ systematic review of associations between toxicant exposure and developing brain structure and function is now available as a preprint! psyarxiv.com/cfz2a Michael S. Gaffrey, Ph.D. Aaron Reuben Nicolas L Camacho @ArmenB_

An absolutely fantastic talk by the Developmental Social Neuroscience Labโs own Maria Maza on social media checking and brain development. So proud!! ๐๐ผ #Flux2022 Flux Society

Out now in Biological Psychiatry, we find that neural sensitivity to social punishment, in combination with a 'real world' index of peer rejection, predicts future NSSI. Thanks to coauthors Seh-Joo Kwon Nathan Jorgensen @ka_lindquist @EvaTelzer Mitch Prinstein! bit.ly/3rPW8oE

I applied for the U.S. National Science Foundation GRFP 3x (1x postbacc, 2x grad) and got funded on my 3rd try, giving me invaluable time/resources to do research. NSF now limits the # of GRFP attempts (1x grad), likely exacerbating the consistently lower rates at which Asian + other URM scholars are funded

The DSN Lab will be representing at Society for Research in Child Development and would love too see you there! Come check out what we've been working on ๐ค๐ง ๐ค #SRCD23

Had a great time presenting our work and discussing caregiving, learning, and adolescents' psychopathology. Even more enjoyed hearing the other talks and the crowd's insightful questions! Society for Research in Child Development
