Should add that in addition to Everton helping schools in Knowsley, Liverpool have allowed the district team to use facilities at the academy. The community departments at both Merseyside clubs are excellent but they can’t sort out all of society’s problems. Authorities must act.

Tomorrow is the first #Sefton game in over a decade without me as manager. The intentions, motivations and actions of certain individuals along with a baffling, disgusting decision by English Schools' Football Association has forced my hand. It's a huge shame but I wish my boys the best of luck.

I wonder how many grassroots games will be cancelled today, whilst overpriced 3g facilities stand idle. Its ok calling the premier league but when facilities are charging up to £200 for a 90 min booking or £100 for an hour, that's the real issue #grassroots #cashovercommonsense
