Our ‘reward’ for beating Billingham yesterday is a home quarter final cup tie against Marden👀🫣

No game for us again this weekend as Pelton aren’t able to field a team so we get the points. We go again next weekend away to Washington

Another important 3 points on the board this morning with a very good performance and 1-0 win away to Washington Keelboat. League position looking much healthier now. Next up Redcar at home, who we’ve already drawn 2-2 away 1st game of the season

Another good 4-2 win against Redcar in blustery conditions solidifies our mid table position. 1-1 at half time with us kicking uphill against the wind 2nd half but the lads dug in and scored some quality goals. Back on the road away to Billingham next week

Billingham 1-5 Sedgefield. Another good performance and great win in tricky conditions 🌬️back at home next week against Ferryhill

Good performance this morning and unlucky to get beat 1-0 off Ferryhill. At home again next week to Washington looking to start another run

Sedgefield 5-1 Washington - back to winning ways! After leading early we conceded a sloppy goal, but went 2-1 up shortly before half time through an excellent team goal. The lead never really looked in danger and even with a raft of 2nd half changes we scored another 1/2

3 goals to seal the victory. No game next week then just the small matter of Marden then Blakelaw away the following 2 weeks. However confidence is high and we are playing well so will be a couple of good tests for the lads 2/2

Game OFF tomorrow. Marden have deemed their pitch unplayable and are unwilling to reverse the fixture. We go again next week away to Blakelaw

Blakelaw 2-1 Sedgefield. The lads battled well against a decent Blakelaw outfit. After going 1 down we equalised through a Gav Barton toe poke. We then went 2-1 down from a corner when down to 10 men due to a sin bin. We were denied a late equaliser when a clearly onside 1/2

Barton slotted home when 1 on 1 with the keeper. Despite applying some late pressure we couldn’t force an equaliser. Back at home next week against Sherburn followed by the Christmas doo🍻🍻 2/2

Sedgefield 3-1 Sherburn. Back to winning ways despite being far from our best. Despite never really getting going we were 2-0 at half time. Sherburn came out 2nd half and made life difficult for us with the wind at their backs and were piling on the pressure as they pulled 1/2

one back. They continued to push forward and nearly equalised from a free kick but were denied by a great save from our stand in keeper Parsons. The points were sealed with a late goal on the counter attack. Not the prettiest but another 3 points on the board 📈 2/2

We end a phenomenal 2025 for the club with an away trip up to Consett tomorrow. This year has seen us promoted to the top division for the 1st time in the clubs history and the established prem teams some very tough games. Looking forward to doing it all again in ‘26!

Consett 2-4 Sedgefield. A very good win in our last game of the year. Having gone 2-0 up, Consett came back into the game playing some good football on their 4G pitch and levelled the scores with 15 to play. We managed to find an extra gear and score a couple of late goals to 1/2

Despite efforts to secure a 4G for our game against Pelton in the morning we haven’t been able to and the game has unsurprisingly fallen fowl of the weather. We try again next week away to South Shields over 40’s FC in what should be a cracking game!

…at home to Marden who have registered cricket scores in several games this season. Hopefully that’s the cobwebs dusted off and we are back to our best next week. 2/2

Sedgefield 1-3 Marden. Tough game on a very heavy pitch. We took the lead mid way through the 1st half, but just as we needed to defend well and build on the lead we gave away a very soft equaliser with an easily clearance missed, leaving their lad to easily slot home a… 1/2

…couple of minutes after our opener. We battled well and were in the game until mid way through the 2nd half when Marden sprung the offside trap to take the lead. They added a late 3rd due to another mistake. No game next week then a tough away game to leaders Ferryhill 2/2
