Stephen Jury Secret grassroots coach Love the team who played up a year all season and can’t wait to tell anyone who’ll listen they are playing up a year, but drop down for a tournament to try and win 🤦🏻‍♂️

We automatically think that a UEFA B coach will be better than a L1 coach. I'd rather have a L1 coach who works hard to develop themselves and inspires players, over a UEFA B coach who doesn't care and goes through the motions. Badges don't define you or make you a good coach.

Never ever understood mindless vandalism Here’s an idea, let’s rip a net down. Just because you live in a shit tip and treat your own house like a cesspit, don’t do it to grassroots venues. Go play on the M1, 3rd lane

See the same coaches trialing kids for their teams, can’t possibly develop them, trophies to be one. Same coaches who aren’t very good, same session every week 2 laps lads 1 more lap as you were talking Shooting drill 15 in lines Match 1 touch, 2 touch, all in. Nice one

Youth lads released from cat 1 & cat 2 academies “I don’t want to drop to step 4 or 5, my agent is looking at League 1.” I’m looking at Jennifer Lopez, ain’t fucking happening though is it?

When a parent first question is “what league does your team play in?” For a 9 year old, it shows how youth ⚽️ is being sold in this country: not as development, but as status. Leagues dont develop players! Coaches, teammates and the environment do! Wake up, parents!!!

Two things that still blow my mind on social media 1. Parents asking for a high level team for their academy standard kid. (Playing grassroots so can’t be an academy player)? 2. The coaches who want to take these morons “Oh we’re high level please sign for us” Pathetic

Controversial opinion Most parents are spending between $3000 to $5000 (if not more) on club soccer. And yet…. Most club sessions have the intensity of 5-year-olds playing duck-duck-goose.

Give it a week and the same rag will be going on about mental health. Bloke said something while off his box and now grafting, if you’ve a problem with that you’re a wrong un.

Summer is coming, these elite 1-1 coaches who claim they are ex pros with a total of zero appearances at professional level are here. £40 a pop You lot are brain dead

Confused here Had a parent tell us his kid left academy football because he wasn’t enjoying it. Just seen him on a clip at one of these trial events. Released then?
