It’s School Counseling week at Seawell! Students are ”shell-ebrating” with Ms Jackson with appreciation cards to brighten up someone’s day and show appreciation for the amazing people in our school!

February is Heart Health Awareness month and what better way to get involved than with “love attacks” to other classrooms and walking to improve our heart health! Shout out to Nurse Eileen for coordinating activities to bring awareness and fun to our Seahawks!

On the “Heels” of their win over Virginia Tech, UNC Women’s Basketball players Alyssa Ustby and Sydney Barker visited the Seawell library to read a book about Olympic track and field star Wilma Rudolph playing basketball to Seahawk 1st graders!

Our kindergarteners had a blast with Ms Nolan’s read-aloud of “Looking for a Jumbie” by Tracey Baptiste and then unleashed their creativity. They designed their own class Jumbie, hid copies all over the library, and sparked a fun scavenger hunt for everyone!

Our 5th grade Seahawks experienced the thrill of science in action Charlotte Motor Speedway! They dove into force, motion, energy, and engineering through awesome interactive stations. And that legendary 24-degree banking tour? Unforgettable! 🏁 What an incredible day of learning and fun!

On May 1st, Educators, parents, and volunteers in CHCCS showed incredible solidarity with a powerful Walk-In to champion public education. Decked out in red, staff, parents, and supporters gathered before school, walking in together as part of the NCAE's statewide #DayofAction
