It’s easy to do the ‘ah, the result didn’t matter once we experienced that beforehand’ when you lose but I felt absolutely dead throughout that 90 minutes. The look of panic on people’s faces, crushes, tear gas. Horrific. Absolutely disgusting and shame on anyone blaming fans.

Worst atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Riot police indiscriminately tear gassing fans, including kids and my colleague. Fans literally locked in so had to climb 10ft gates to escape. Dozens of local thugs - one stole my phone - breaking into the stadium to cause trouble or steal

I get rival fans revelling in the result last night & that’s fair game as no one likes to see a rival win, but the situation last night is about fans in general. We don’t need to score points off each other. A bit of solidarity wouldn’t go amiss.
