'Two foreign old monarchs in battle did join
Each wanting his head on the back of a coin;

If the Irish had sense they'd drowned both in the Boyne!
And partition thrown into the ocean.

The sea, oh the sea is the gradh geal mo croide
Long may it stay between England and me....'

In the late 80's in North London as a teenager I waited outside The Crown bar in Cricklewood with fellow Irish @ 7am looking for a days work, 'call-on'. I rarely got picked.
Distant memories we tend to forget, I don't. Grinding hard days of migration, poverty and insecurity.

Dock St. renamed 'Dockers' Corner' commemorates the men who waited every morning to be picked or not for hard dangerous backbreaking work unloading the ships.
This humiliating process of 'decasualisation' ended in 1972. Increased mechanisation phased it out

A very, very gentle reminder.

A democratic, peaceful and constitutional way to remove the land border on the island of Ireland - for good - is there.

A legitimate option/choice too often avoided, denied, deferred.

Beyond irresponsible at this stage.

Brits.are masters at hiding historical crimes, especially in Ireland.
It's alway about them never their victims.

Let’s have a monument to Henry Joy in High Street where he was born & later executed in 1798. Rename High Street McCracken Street after Mary Ann & her brother Henry Joy. They’ve been written out of our civic spaces & history.

Never heard a peep out these great patriots defending Ireland in my day whilst the north exploded into conflict & mayhem.
