Here’s a Goodison Park XI of players who appeared at the iconic stadium though not for Everton 🔵⚽️ Managed by Ferenc Puskas who took charge of Panathanaikos against the Toffees in 1971.

Describing Jack Grealish's £300,000-a-week wages as a stumbling block for Everton is like describing the ice berg as a small bump for the Titanic. They couldn't get remotely close to offering even half of that I suspect.

1 – Everton’s Jordan Pickford prevented the most goals in the Premier League in 2024/25 with 6.0 as per Opta’s Goals Prevented model, conceding 44 goals (excl. OGs) from an xGOT conceded of 50.0. Dynamite.

Charly Alcaraz is set to sign his Everton contract tomorrow. Everton have informed Flamengo that the purchase clause has been activated. €15m plus €3m in bonuses based on targets. sportwitness.co.uk/from-brazil-ch…

More on Charly Alcaraz to Everton - Agreement with midfielder last Wednesday. Everton buying him for €15m, plus €3m, despite not reaching required games to turn clause mandatory. GE Globo say that was 9 games in Premier League. sportwitness.co.uk/player-agreed-…

Given most Liverpool fans have been very angry about Alexander-Arnold going on a free, now that they might get £10m for him, does that mean everything is forgiven?

Wirtz deal to Liverpool really needs to be the end of any notion Liverpool don't spend money. Since 2018 they've spent €54m on Diaz, €60m on Keita, €62.5m on Alisson, €70m on Szoboszlai. €84.5m on Van Dijk and €85m on Nunez & want to pay €130m for Wirtz. Insane.

The Charly Alcaraz deal feels like a proper old school Everton under Moyes deal. The type they were lauded for, for years, like Cahill, Artera, Pienaar, Baines, Lescott, Jagielka. Hope there's more of this summer.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to any Liverpool fans offended by my tweet pointing out they spend money on players. It was clearly insensitive and I'll learn from my actions, primarily always quoting fees in British £, which apparently makes it okay.

Sean Lunt It's funny to read stuff like this from fans of other clubs because many Liverpool fans (admittedly mostly online) want FSG gone because they don't spend enough.

"Sources in Germany" - that would be BILD, who reported it today in a big article on Bayern's talks with Wirtz. Why not say that?

I'm unclear on if this would effect PSR but several reports in Brazil stated Everton would be paying €15m for Alcaraz in three instalments and not upfront.

PSG are fun and a breath of fresh air, but the hyperbole from TNT's comms team (hello Rio Ferdinand) is bonkers. - They're still owned by a petro-state. - Not a single player in the starting XI is their youth product. - It's not a fairytale, they spent €239m on transfers in 24/25.
