The next award celebrates our 6Rs.  The recipient of this award was the top student in the entire school last year for 6R points. This student scored 830 individual 6R points which was the most in the entire school.

He is currently in Year 11 and continuing in the same vein. This is a tremendous achievement and he was a clear and well-deserved winner of this award.

The school has run the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme for a short time but it has been a massive success. Mrs. Saville, supported by Mrs Haswell and Mr. Judd has set up and run the scheme, and the next award goes to the best student from this fantastic group.

One of the greatest strengths of Seaham High School is the sense of community and family. This year we lost a valued member of our community which has led to the creation of a new award in her memory.

This award goes to a student who consistently thinks of others before they think of themselves. They act as a voice for others not only in their role as a senior student ambassador but also as a member of the Durham Youth Council.

They also give generously of their time each and every day in our school reception, helping to ensure a smooth start to the day. A shining example of someone who embodies our school's core values of kindness, integrity and pride. The winner is …… Lacey S
