RS has a neat recolouring system which helps when items, like the Bandos chestplate or Rune Med Helm, show skin - you want the item's skin tone consistent w/your base model Less helpful if the artist accidentally gives V's Shield the exact same colour value as your default boots

Incredible as always. This is the best evidence that Blender is a tool, not a style. I don't think players actually "dislike RS blender animations," they just need someone to give it a fresh spin every once in a while and to do it well

It's crazy to me that OSRS is now mainstream Last I checked, the OSRS team was 8 people, Mat K was still hunting for dater, we only had half an engine dev, skip votes didn't exist, we couldn't make new art assets/just reused old ones, and the servers were chronically DDOS'd
