AHL President/CEO Scott Howson to Inside AHL Hockey re: AHL-Bridgeport and the long known rumors the franchise might be relocating to Hamilton as soon as next season, and what hurdles (& deadlines) have yet to be cleared.

Such a vital and underrated point. We're so used to the visual pollution of how hockey is presented by the NHL that we've become somewhat immune to even noticing it. How the Olympic hockey product looks makes it so, so much more appealing for viewers.

Interesting (to me at least): Team Italy's Fadani plays for Kloten in Switzerland, where he shares the crease with 21yo Ewan Huet ... famous French netminder Cristobal's son. And, somewhat oddly, Ewan plays internationally for Switzerland, not France.

Olympic Hockey: - the games start on time - no animated fake ads on the boards - no ads superimposed on the ice or glass - no gambling ads shoved in your face - no live betting odds - no broadcast sponsored parlays - no ads on jerseys or helmets fix your game NHL

One of the best things I've noticed about these Olympic hockey broadcasts is that we never see the pbp or analysts. They still do their job - pretty well, I must say - but we get to see more of the players, the fans and the arena. Delightful.

I love Tyson Fury. Delighted he's coming back, again. "What better thing can a man do then punch another man's face in and get paid a lot money to do it? It's like a dream job!"
