A fun weekend for my sports teams! A UEFA EURO 2024 win for England ⚽️ 🏴 and an Formula 1 win for Lewis Hamilton 🏎️ 🇬🇧
The Society of Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (SRS) #CAFACHEM summer school starts Michigan Radiology TODAY!!! We are hosting 75 young radiochemists and 20 faculty from all over the world who have come to Ann Arbor to talk about their latest work in carbon, fluorine and organohalogen #radiochemistry ☢️🧪⚛️🩻
Our new work with Sanford Lab in J Org Chem/Org Lett describes a photochemical Cu-mediated fluorination of aryl iodides using AgF and UVB light (313nm). The presumed radical method has been translated for #radiochemistry using a combination of K18F & AgOTf: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
PSMA-targeting #theranostics are revolutionizing management of prostate cancer Michigan Radiology and beyond. In our latest review article, we provide updates on the status of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT. Congrats Jessica Clore on your first paper! Read it here: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
Sad to see trainees leave, but excited for what they do next. Good luck undergrad Kevin who’s off to grad school UNC-Chapel Hill Chemistry, Umich Pharmacology summer student Angela who’s back to studies Wesleyan University, and exchange student Marius who’s back to Københavns Uni to finish his PhD ☢️
Our latest paper describes automated synthesis and preclinical imaging of a novel [18F]Fluorolidocaine analog via sequential C-H radiolabeling and is out in RSC Medicinal Chemistry. Congrats Madison Frazier (she/her) (1st paper!) Jay Wright Allen Brooks. Read it here: pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art…
Yaaayyyy!!! Congrats Dr. Shelbie Cingoranelli!!! Looking forward to seeing you in some maize and blue in a couple of weeks 💛💙
I've been excited by C-H radiofluorination for 20 yrs & it's great to see it becoming a reality! Our new Outlook with Sanford Lab is out in ACS Central Science. Jay Wright, Liam & Alex highlight trends, challenges, and directions for this new #radiochemistry☢️pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Bitter sweet to throw Jay Wright’s leaving party. On one hand, I’m saying bye to an amazing postdoc, now junior faculty (>13 papers, NIBIB K99/R00 grant). On the other I’m thrilled to see him start his independent career as a TT Asst Prof Penn Radiology. Good luck Jay〽️
Our latest work in @BrainComms with Functional Neuroimaging, Cognitive & Mobility Lab Nico Bohnen MD investigates correlation between cholinergic deficits, estimated from VAChT binding measured using FEOBV PET, and dynamic balance and gait deficits in Parkinson’s disease. The article is out now: academic.oup.com/braincomms/adv…
You can read now a great #DiamondOpenAccess ACS Central Science Outlook Article "C–H Labeling with [18F]Fluoride: An Emerging Methodology in Radiochemistry" by Sanford Lab and ScottLab pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
