I *think* yesterday was the first time the Nats and Caps or Wizards have hosted teams from the same city on the same day at scheduled times that would allow someone to attend all or most of both games. The Nats' rain delay ruined that.

In May 2015, D.C. had a memorable doubleheader sweep of Atlanta teams, with Bryce Harper walking off the Braves and Paul Pierce calling game against the Hawks, but those games had similar start times washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports…
